Trinity Lutheran Church and School - Yesterday and Today
Trinity Lutheran School was founded in 1870, at the same time that the church was organized. The first services, conducted in German, with Danish in 1878, were held in a store building at 8th and Gaines.

Months later, with a full-time teacher and 50 students, a new building site was purchased on West 5th Street.

Growth continued with a new church fronting Myrtle Street and another new school building on 7th and Vine.

In 1950, Trinity had once again outgrown itself and land was purchased for a new complex at the corner of Marquette and West Central Park Avenue, our present location.

On this site the educational wing was built first, with the church services held in the Parish Hall, the gymnasium that once sat in the vicinity of the art and science rooms. This served us well until 1986, when the growth of the school made necessary a new wing, with more classrooms, a kitchen, and a larger gymnasium.

In 2000, the most recent of additions was built, providing a new fellowship hall, a media center, computer lab and more classrooms.  The library was improved, the gym got a new hardwood floor and the kitchen was remodeled.  Trinity School is proud to say that our facility is among the best! Trinity is focused on your child's future, but faithful in providing a Christian education to our members and the surrounding community.
