Bible Studies

Bible study—along with the Divine Service—is like breathing the pure air of God’s breath. He makes us alive in Him. Multiple bible studies are available for young and old, at church and in the home. “They received the word with all eagerness, examining the Scriptures daily to see if these things were so,” (Acts 17:11). Bible study is what doing, learning, searching, equipping…for it’s a dark world out there. Broken and hurting people need help. We’re here for Davenport and beyond.

It is written in the Prophets, ‘And they will all be taught by God.’ Everyone who has heard and learned from the Father comes to me'- (John 6:45)

A study of Genesis

Pastor Golter has a new Bible study on Genesis.   How was life in the beginning? Jump into the new Sunday morning Bible study on the first eleven chapters of the Bible's first book. What happens in the beginning sets the stage for the rest of the Bible, and your life.

Pastor Golter has placed this study on hold for the next few weeks, but will be teaching on several different topics in its place.  For more information Click Here

One Nation Under God

Racial division has always been a reality in our country. At times, it has erupted into protests, violence, arson and looting. Distrust and suspicions arise on both sides. What we forget is that we are all creatures of God, equally children of Adam and Eve. We forget that our first parents were created in the image of God, that image is an important unifying force that defines our shared human identity.  We forget that God loves the beautiful diversity of His human creation as much as He loves the vast array of plants and animals He has created. And we forget that His Son, Jesus Christ, has redeemed each and every one of us.

This study will seek to pull back the covers over the racial issues that divide us so that we can better understand one another and search the Scriptures for a hopeful path forward.

Pastor Vokt will be leading this class starting October 11th, at 9:30 am in the school library.
