For Bonnie Liedtke, being a mother of five children was a big job.
“Keeping them under control was challenging,” shared Bonnie. “It was very worthwhile, and I wouldn’t have changed a thing.”
That includes the consistent message she instilled in her children.
“I always made sure that they knew that the Lord is No. 1,” shared Bonnie, who is in her 90s.
Bonnie’s message has reached more than just her five children.
“I put a red dot on my glasses in hopes that people will ask me what it is or what it means,” shared Bonnie, who became a member of Trinity in 1946. “I tell them it’s a reminder to me to share with them that Jesus loves them.”
It’s about sharing the message – the Lord is No. 1.
“I love to share Jesus,” shared Bonnie, who serves on Trinity’s Prayer Team and is a church greeter and also has been a part of the church choir, the LWML, the counters and served on the school board.
As brothers and sisters in Christ, we can’t lose sight of the message.
It’s our calling – to share the Good News. The Lord is No. 1.
On May 11, Trinity celebrated Bonnie, who was selected the Volunteer of the Year, and all the volunteers who proclaim that the Lord is No. 1 through their servant hearts.
We are: Chosen. Growing. Proclaiming. Crowned.
