Trinity Lutheran will be having its annual Veterans Day Program on Nov. 11 at 1:30 p.m. in the church. All veterans and their families are invited. The program, which will be led by Trinity’s middle school students, will be live-streamed on YouTube – search Trinity Lutheran Davenport Iowa. There will be a reception after the program.

Vote for Avery! A painting done by Trinity eighth-grader Avery Marvin has received national recognition. Avery was selected as a finalist for Artist of the Week – through Artsonia – for her painting. Trinity’s Natalie Smith will be competing at the National Lutheran Cross Country Meet on Saturday (Oct. 26) in Mequon, Wis, on the campus of Concordia Wisconsin. Natalie, an eighth-grader, eclipsed the national 2-mile qualifying time of 14:58 by finishing in a winning time of 14:44 at the Williamsburg meet. Trinity will be having its Fall Book Fair on Nov. 5-7. The Book Fair – which will be in the school library – will be open from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Nov. 5, and during Parent-Teacher Conferences on Nov. 6-7.
