Tithing or tipping. I never had heard it said this way before; it struck me. Growth in giving doesn’t come automatically at conversion. Every believer needs instruction on what is God-pleasing. I’ve noticed that restaurants suggest tipping percentages: 20 or 15 percent. What about your Lord? He doesn’t suggest tipping as an afterthought reflection. The bible talks about “first giving.”
