If you need to talk, don’t be afraid to seek help.
That was the message Nathan Grewe shared with Trinity middle school students on Tuesday (Sept. 23).
Nathan and Hannah Fowler, who work for Lutheran Family Service (LFS), each spend one day a week at Trinity, providing counseling services, along with spending time in Trinity’s classrooms.
It’s a huge blessing – Trinity Lutheran School is one of the very few Christian schools in Iowa to have professionally trained counselors on campus.
“We love coming alongside students, helping them navigate life’s challenges, grow in character, strengthen their faith, and thrive,” shared Jamie McWade, who is a licensed mental health counselor and a clinical supervisor at LFS.
It’s the second straight year Trinity has partnered with LFS – and it has been very beneficial.
“The school counseling program provides a safe, caring, and faith-grounded space where students can talk, process, grow, and be supported,” shared Jamie. “We, at LFS, are blessed to be a part of this journey.”
