Lydia Wallace grew up learning about Jesus at Trinity Lutheran ChurchSchool.
Now, the Concordia Wisconsin graduate is returning to Trinity Lutheran – in a new role.
“Sharing the faith and the love of Christ is what I first learned at Trinity,” shared Lydia. “And I am so excited to be playing a role in continuing to teach the faith.”
Lydia, who currently serves as a teacher at Great Lakes Lutheran School in Spencer, Iowa, reached out to Mr. Kilgus on May 19 – after returning home from her weekend visit to Trinity – sharing that she was accepting the Call to serve as a teacher at Trinity, beginning with the 2026-27 school year.
“I am so excited to be joining the Trinity faculty, and to be working with such an excellent team,” Lydia shared. “The welcoming atmosphere at Trinity helped me make my decision. I was so grateful for the support and prayers that I received and the feeling of home I got when I visited.”
Lydia, who graduated from Trinity Lutheran in 2008, can’t wait to get started.
“I am most looking forward to partnering with the excellent pastors, faculty, and staff at Trinity to serve the community,” shared Lydia. “I look forward to sharing Jesus!”
Lydia joins Jason Specht and Lona Vesey as current staff members who graduated from Trinity Lutheran.
“I have so many fond memories of Trinity,” Lydia shared. “I love the outdoor education program and sports programs at Trinity. I am so grateful to be joining an excellent school. Thanks be to God for His indescribable gifts! (2 Corinthians 9:15)”
