Pastor Schilling installed as Trinity’s Senior Pastor

It’s official.

The Senior Pastor in waiting and interim tags can be removed.

Pastor Schilling, who was installed this weekend, is officially

Trinity’s Senior Pastor – even though he has been serving as the congregation’s leader for the past couple of months.

“With any new position, there are nerves,” shared Pastor Schilling. “I desire what is best for Trinity as a steward of God’s Word and Sacraments. Alongside and mixed with nervousness, there is excitement for what is next here at Trinity.”

The number of opportunities to study and grow in God’s Word at Trinity, the new positions, the continued connection with the Dominican Republic, along with the mission work of the school motivate Pastor Schilling.

“We have momentum to move forward with the Gospel as God’s chosen children, crowned with Christ’s forgiveness and life,” shared Pastor Schilling. “What excites me is the message has not changed. Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever as the saints here at Trinity gather in worship to receive from God His good gifts of Word and Sacrament.”

Expect Pastor Schilling to remain active and be involved.

“In my Senior Pastor position, I still look forward to doing most everything I did as Associate Pastor,” Pastor Schilling shared. “I will still be present in the school and attend school activities. My hope is to still be able to coach basketball in some capacity.”

For Pastor Schilling, serving as Trinity’s Senior Pastor is an opportunity.

“Maybe it isn’t nerves as much as an eagerness to move with a new opportunity in serving as Senior Pastor to strengthen relationships with the saints here at Trinity,” shared Pastor Schilling.

We are: Chosen. Growing. Proclaiming. Crowned.
