Mission hasn’t changed

The responses have been the same – all proclaimed with confidence and certainty.

How do you understand the mission of the Church in today’s cultural context?

Each of the pastoral candidates interviewed by Trinity’s Call Committee have responded in the same manner – The mission of the Church hasn’t changed – unashamed proclamation of the Gospel.

That’s the same message Andy Gavrun and Brian Horning, who both were installed on Aug. 9 during Trinity’s 8 a.m. Sunday service, are proclaiming through their new vocations at Trinity.

“The Office of Advancement strengthens Trinity Lutheran ChurchSchool, building relationships, expanding partnerships, and stewarding resources so that Christ-centered education and ministry can flourish for generations,” shared Andy Gavrun, who is Trinity’s new full-time Director of Advancement.

For Brian Horning, who is Trinity’s new Director of Family Life Ministry, the focus is strengthening and equipping Christian homes to live and serve God and their neighbors.

“The purpose of Family Life Ministry is to intentionally support and nurture families according to the Holy Scriptures and the Lutheran Confessions by building a strong partnership in discipleship between the church and the home,” shared Brian.

Both vocations are crucial as Trinity continues to focus on cultivating partnerships, expand resources and deepen our connections to the families we serve all while continuing to enhance the Gospel’s directive to go forward with the Good News.

The mission of the Church hasn’t changed.

We are: Chosen. Growing. Proclaiming. Crowned.
