There’s reason to celebrate.
In the coming weeks, Trinity will be installing new staff members and a Senior Pastor.
There will be a blessing of backpacks on Aug. 22-23 – during Trinity’s worship services.
There will be a blessing of young adults, who are encouraged to wear their school colors or trade company apparel to represent their future endeavors, on Aug. 2 during Trinity’s 8 a.m. and 10:45 a.m. worship services.
There’s reason to rejoice.

“Trinity has such a great school program, with its chapel service, along with pastors who care and want to know all the students,” shared Ellie Weyeneth, who is a Trinity Lutheran and Davenport Assumption graduate. “Trinity is a place where I felt welcomed and loved.”
Ellie, who will be a freshman at Concordia Nebraska in the fall, wants to become a veterinarian.
“I rely a lot on my faith, that was instilled in me at Trinity,” shared Ellie. “I had teachers that cared about me and really would help me when I was struggling. They would take the time.”
This past week, Ellie was crowned the Mississippi Valley Fair Queen (photo provided by Jennifer Weyeneth) and now will compete against 98 other Iowa county fair queen winners at next month’s state fair in Des Moines.
The process included multiple rounds of interviews, a speech and an impromptu question and answer session.
When talking about her successes and future endeavors, Trinity always is part of Ellie’s conversation.
“What sets Trinity apart is the faith element, and how much the students and teachers care about one another – that’s hard to find at other schools.”
